SMOKING..

SMOKING ..

Most of the people try their first smoke at teen life under the influence of their close friends or may b in a urge of trying something new.
Initially they do not feel  good because they feel Dizziness ,Headaches ,Coughing or Vomit sometimes.
But as they keep trying their body becomes susceptible towards it and it becomes a fashion for them to be in a group or gang, impress girls and other stuff.
You think this is cool huh!! Let us know more about it.

Smoking affects our body in three different ways :
NICOTINE
SMOKE
HEAT

NICOTINE reduces stress and anxiety, improves concentration and memory levels and help losing weight.
Depending upon the dose it works as a miracle relax the person and arouse a depressed one.
But consequence are not what you think, a day you wake up discover yourself to be very irritable , lots of anger, loss of sound sleep , headaches and restlessness. To suppress these you again go for one Bidi.

EFFECTS OF NICOTINE :
  • At initial stage it enters your blood vessels.
  • Constrict the blood vessels resulting in less flow of blood in organs and tissues.
  • Paralyze CILIA ( small hair like structures) which help in passage of air.
  • Produces unwanted or pathological changes in vital organs.
  • Causes mood swings.
  • Due to constriction of blood vessels it causes the shortage of blood supply in Brain which causes STROKES.
  • Causes ANGINA or HEART ATTACKS.
  • It also effects muscles, in critical cases causes Gangrene in muscles which generally gets infected.
  • Blockage of blood vessels causes IMPOTENCE in Men.

EFFECTS OF SMOKE :

Smoke is a complicated mixture of several gases and chemicals which directly your body without any delay.
  • It has CARBON MONO OXIDE which immediately effects our blood as it compete with  OXYGEN to bind with hemoglobin. Hemoglobin has more affinity towards Carbon Mono Oxide as a result  it causes shortage of Oxygen due to its binding capacity.
  • The blood vessels are already constricted because of Nicotine and shortage of oxygen in our body.. now i hope you can imagine what will happen next!!??
  • Now restriction of Oxygen to the vital organs such as heart causes Coronary Heart Disease or HEART ATTACK.
  • This can also result in ASTHMATIC ATTACKS because the victim has to put more efforts in breathing.
  • TAR is the substance condensed in lungs which is like a very thick shake or thick sludge deposited in lungs due to smoking. TAR is very rich in CANCER PRODUCING AGENTS known as Carcinogens ( Poly-cyclic aromatic hydrocarbons , Nitrosamines etc. )

EFFECTS OF HEAT :

The temperature of cigarette smoke  is about 10 times the temperature of boiling water.
People knowingly expose them self again and again which can lead to chances of Cancer.

SYSTEMATIC DIAGRAM OF HEALTHY LUNG :

BRONCHOGENIC CARCINOMA OR LUNG CANCER

This is commonly use for Cancer of Lung which include carcinoma arising from the respiratory epithelium lining of the bronchi, bronchioles and alvoli.
Lung cancer is most common primary malignant tumors in men and account for 30% of all death due to cancer.
Data from  INTERNATIONAL AGENCY FOR RESEARCH ON CANCER estimated that worldwide by the year 2030 there would be about 10 million death per year from lung cancer.
Bronchogenic carcinoma tends to form an intraluminal mass which may partially or completely obstruct the bronchus. The neoplasm also may compress or invade local structures such as aorta, esophagus, superior vena cava or cervical sympathetic chain
What Causes Bronchogenic Carcinoma?
Cigarette smoking is the principal cause of bronchogenic carcinoma.
  • 80% lung cancer occurs in active smokers due to Tobacco Smoking.
  • An average  regular smoker has 10 times greater risk of developing lung cancer than non smoker.
  • The risk of smokers more than 2 packs i.e. 40 cigarette per day for 20 years is 60 - 70 times greater than non smokers.
  • Pipe and Cigar smokers have higher risk than non smokers.
Other causes

Atmospheric pollution
Occupational causes
Dietary factors
Chronic scarring.

Symptoms usually associated with Bronchogenic Carcinoma include:
atelectasis
chest pain
persistent cough
diminished breathing sounds
dyspnea
fatigue
fever
Hemoptysis
loss of appetite
neoplasm
recurrent malignant serosanguineous pleural effusions
streaks of blood in the sputum
unexplained weight-loss
weakness
wheezing.

Now its upto you what you want do with you life..

Seven Fundamental Principles of Homeopathy

Homeopathy as a science has its own philosophy and its own therapeutics which is based on seven fundamental principles which every homeopath should know.
These are:

1. Law of Similia
2. Law of Simplex
3. Law of Minimum
4. Doctrine of Drug Proving
5. Theory of Chronic Disease
6. Theory of Vital Force
7. Doctrine of Drug Dynamisation

These fundamental principles are elaborated below.

Law of Similia

According to this system, the choice of the medicine is fundamentally based on the principle that the medicine must have the capability of producing most similar symptoms of the disease to be cured in healthy persons.
"Let Likes Be Cured By Likes." A remedy is given to an ill person,  if given to a healthy person would produce similar symptoms to those of the ill person.

Law of Simplex

Dr. Hahnemann states that only one single, simple medicinal substance is to be administered in a given case of time.
This is because
  • Only one remedy can be the most similar at any given time to the condition of any given patient.
  • During drug proving, drugs are proved singly and the symptoms then observed are compiled into the Materia Medica.
  • If the physician administers more than one remedy at a time, he will be unable to ascertain the curative action of the remedy.
  • Administration of more than one remedy can produce certain group of symptoms, which can be harmful to the patient.

Law of  Minimum

Under this principle we give medicine to the patients in very minute doses. The minute dose means that quantity of a medicine which is smallest in quantity produces the least possible  aggravation of the vital force and yet sufficient to effect the necessary change in it.
The quantitative reduction of the medicinal substance is done by the process of potentisation   which avoids the unwanted medicinal aggravation.
The Law of Least Action, formulated by Maupertius, the French mathematician, states : “The quantity of action necessary to affect any change in nature is the least possible, the decisive amount is always a minimum, an infinitesimal.”

Doctrine of Drug Proving

Drug proving is a systematic investigation of pathogenic (disease-producing ) power of medicine on healthy human being of different ages, both sexes and of various constitutions.
In drug proving, a drug or a medicine is administered to a group of relatively healthy individuals (provers) until symptoms of ill health and disease appear in them. These provers are instructed to carefully observe and note all finer sensations, feelings and emotions, or any subtle deviations in the normal functioning of the various organs and parts of the body.
After the proving is concluded, symptoms reported by the provers are carefully assessed, evaluated, classified. The end result of this work is compiled in a systematic order and the 'Materia Medica' of the proved drug is created. Drugs are always prove on healthy human beings because
  • Animals do not give subjective or mental symptoms
  • We do not get the modalities and finer symptoms in animal provings.
  • If proved on ill person then the symptoms of the drug and the disease will be mixed together.
  • The action of the drug on the sick person is different from normal person.

Theory of Chronic Disease

Dr.Hahnemann realized that homeopathy failed to execute a 'real cure' in some diseases. He observed that in many cases symptoms got ameliorated for a brief period only to relapse at a later date.
The following were the probable causes that were considered:
  • The Law of Similars might not be universally applicable
  • There could be some flaw in the application of the Law of Similars
  • The number of drugs till date were inadequate to cover all the diseases
  • There could be some error in determining the totality of symptoms
  • There might be some obstacles that persisted, which hindered cure.
He studied chronic cases for 12 years and concluded that, this is because of CHRONIC MIASMS.
The three Miasms are
  • Psora
  • Syphilis
  • Sycosis

Theory of Vital Force

The vital force is the invisible vital energy that governs the organism.
The human being consist of Body Mind and Spirit.
In healthy condition, it is the vital force which maintains the normal functioning of the body, but when vital force is deranged by any morbic influence it cause the abnormal sensations and functions of the body which are manifested outwardly by abnormal signs and symptoms the totality of which constitute disease.

Doctrine of Drug Dynamisation

Homeopathic Dynamisation is the process by which the latent medicinal properties of crude drug substance are aroused and develop into activity to an incredible degree.
There are two methods of potentisation or dynamisation i.e.
Trituration – in case of insoluble substances.
Succussion – in case of soluble substances.
Benefits of dynamisation
  • Substances, which are medicinally inert in their crude form, are made available for the curative purpose.
  • The action of the potentised medicines is deeper, longer and curative.
  • Toxic materials and venoms of certain animals when potentised are rendered harmless for therapeutic purpose
  • The medicinal power increases dynamically by the process of potentisation, hence these medicines are able to stimulate the (dynamically) deranged vital force and restore the state of health
  • By potentisation, there is a quantitative reduction and a qualitative enhancement of the medicinal substance, hence medicinal aggravation is minimized.

Dr. Samuel Hahnemann

Dr. Samuel Hahnemann was the founder of Homeopathy.
He was an allopathic doctor and the first man who felt that allopathic medicines have the harmful side effects and was not suitable for his patients. He was so much clear and confident in his perception that he gave up allopathic practice and adopted profession of translating different books in German language.
During translation of Dr. Cullen's Materia medica he found Cinchona (China) medicine as remedy for malaria due to its bitter taste. He thought that if a medicine can cure a disease by virtue of its taste or some other medicinal properties then what would be if the same medicine is used by a healthy person.
Then he did an experiment on himself, took cinchona daily and observed some changes in himself which was shivering, fever, drowsiness, thirst and redness of the face. He stopped eating and gradually all the symptoms disappeared.
He frequently did the same experiment on his family and friends and found the same phenomena.
He concluded that '' drug having medicinal properties can cure the disease symptom if it has the ability to produce the same symptoms. ''
This is known as " Similia Similibus Curentur” that means, “like cures like.”
